The Role: Food Technician

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled and motivated Food Technician to join a dynamic team in Bradford. This full-time position, starting as soon as possible, is perfect for an individual who is passionate about supporting students and teachers in a thriving educational environment. The successful candidate will be the linchpin of the Food Technology department, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of lessons and practical sessions.

Requirements

* Proven experience working in a kitchen or food-related environment.
* A strong understanding of health and safety legislation in a kitchen setting.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

Responsibilities

* Preparing ingredients and equipment for practical lessons.
* Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions.
* Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
* Managing stock levels and ordering new supplies.
* Ensuring all equipment is in good working order and reporting any faults.
* Assisting with the development of new recipes and lesson plans.
* Adhering to strict health and safety regulations.
* Supporting the teacher with classroom management.
* Keeping a detailed record of all inventory and usage.
* Assisting in the preparation for food technology exams and assessments.
