Job Summary
Perform technical duties related to the manufacturing of driveshafts
Primary Duties
-Operate cut off saws, welders, hydraulic presses, balancers and other mechanical equipment
-Use hand tools to assemble driveshafts
-Using measuring devise from tape measures to various types of calipers
-Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
-Have general mechanical experience
-Works under close direction of senior personnel
-Ability to/or learn to read tape measures, dial indicators and calipers
-Ability to/or learn to use small tools such as air tools, hammers, pliers, punches
-Ability to learn to operate cut off saws, welders and other mechanical equipment
-Ability to read work order and instructions given to perform effectively
-Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 50 pounds on a regular basis
-Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel.
Education / Experience
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-Technical experience required
