About The Role:
We are recruiting for a Winemaking Technical Officer to join our Berri Estates winemaking team on a full time, 9 month Fixed Term Contract.
Reporting to our Senior Winemaker you will be working as part of a tight-knit team, maintaining the Berri Winery packaging production notes in collaboration with the production planning and winemaking teams.
You'll undertake technical operations to ensure wine standards are exceptional and met in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
-Assit with planning and prioritising work schedules in consultation with winemakers, to meet despatch requirements
-Liasion with winemakers to ensure wine and wine products are bottle ready for production and export
-Liasion with the laboatory team to ensure analysis of finished wines and products is completed and data entry completed in systems
-Write winemaking notes for export wines incluing but not limited to wine additions, transfers, ullage management, clearances
-Ensure all AWBC and VI1's for export wines are created and available
-Attend wine consolidation, planning and production meetings on behalf of the winemaking team.
-Create and share reports with stakeholders including export wine status report, transport plan, export blends spreadsheet, combined wine plan
-Administrate wine information documentation including compliance checks, stickers, labels, wine declaration forms, export spreadsheets and reports
-Drive logistical efficiencies within the export team from a planning through to despatch.
-Key contact for all export wine movements between the cellar and winemaking
What We're Looking For:
-Previous experience working in a wineries operations process management or similar
-Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to accurately detail system notes and update outcomes to the wider winemaking team
-Familiarity with winemaking processes, HACCP, PPE and quality standards Knowledge of Vintrace software is highly desirable
-Certificate IV Food Processing, study in Winemaking or similar discipline
-Proactivity, excellent organisational skills and a passion for wine!
