SAP NS2 Senior Data and Analytics Engineer
The oCOO Data Management team is responsible for providing data and analysis to support evaluation, research, assessment, and strategic planning for management decisions. The team creates data and analytics and enables users throughout the business to create a data-driven culture with an agile mindset enabling business transformation while working to ensure secure data usability, availability and efficiency. Candidates local to the Herndon, VA office are strongly preferred.
The Senior Data and Analytics Engineer will work in a cross-functional team and will be responsible for defining data architecture to support the business strategy and for data modeling development. Specific responsibilities include:

-Resolve complex issues proactively working both independently and collaboratively as appropriate to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks

-Champion data-driven and product-led methodologies to drive growth through insights and usage data for internal and external customers
-Participate in process improvement initiatives and propose data-driven solutions to business challenges
-Work with business and application/solution teams to define and implement data strategies, build data flows, and develop conceptual/logical/physical data models

-Provide recommendations and support SAP NS2’s data architecture, master data management strategies, data governance approach, and data quality improvement efforts
-Ensure re-use of existing data artifacts and single source of truth concept via the data architecture and data governance

-Collaborate with stakeholders to create clear and concise architectural, detailed requirement, and technical specification documentation
-Collaborate with subject matters experts (SMEs) to understand source data
-Incorporate stakeholder input into features suitable for analytic development and testing
-Define, develop, and support adoption of data products to include analytics and statistical modeling to develop metrics, reports, and/or dashboards leveraging SAP technologies (HANA, DataSphere, SAP Analytics Cloud, etc.)
-Manage data products as well as its governance through controlling access and context to ensure secure distribution across the entire SAP NS2 ecosystem
-Partner with software engineers and cloud developers to develop production analytics
-Provide guidance to cross-organization users in the development of individual analytics and data products
-Translate stakeholder feedback and requests into enterprise facing software visualizations

-Drive rollout strategy and communications with relevant stakeholders
-Support organizational needs and process improvement efforts that include automation of manual processes and expansion of the use of AI to address business challenge
Required Skills

-Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills and be an interface to different stakeholders talking “different languages”

-Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
-Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear and concise requirements
-Knowledge and experience in master data management, metadata management, data modeling, and related tools.
-Hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, and ETL and data ingestion protocols).
-Experience with data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise big data platforms in multi-data-center contexts
-Experience developing or maintaining data models and analytics related to financial management, sales, cloud operations, customer success and/or technology operations. (e.g. using SQL, Spark, ETL, Tableau, PowerBI)
-Technical competencies in relevant programming languages, modeling technologies, and related business applications (e.g. SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, S/4HANA, ServiceNOW)
-Experience in Databricks, SAP Datasphere and Collibra are a plus
-Understanding of data security requirements for federal contractors (e.g. NIST Special Publications
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Education and Experience Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred)
-5+ years’ experience in data or database engineering, data science, or related field
-Professional certifications or advanced degrees preferred

Compensation Range Transparency
