Job title: R&D Product Release Technician I
Department / Division: Incoming Quality Control/Research and Development
Salary Range: $24.42/hr – $30.17/hr
Location: Ada, Michigan (Onsite)
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for a Research and Development (R&D) Technician to join the Records Review team in Ada. Your job will be to review manufacturing documentation/batch packets and to release finished products. Working in an office environment, you will receive formal and informal direction from scientists, engineers, manufacturing, quality engineers and planning.
Day to day, you will be:

-Reviewing manufacturing documentation, both paper and electronic
-Creating, modifying, generating CofA’s(Certificates of Analysis)
-Releasing finished products for shipment to Amway warehouses
-Modifying and editing SW and SOP’s
-Providing updates to the planning team on the timing of the release
-Following up with various departments on product release issues and batch record discrepancies
-Resolving problems and using critical thinking skills
-Addressing corrections, reviewing NCMR/QI information, verifying dispositions, printing documents
-Reviewing STARLIMS records for batch login information, reviewing completeness/accuracy of data, checking for OOS results, reviewing for different sample types
-Will be using OpenText Content Server to supply batch packets for product complaints and audits
You will have your own workstation and will be instructed on all the tools necessary to complete daily responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to organize and document your findings clearly and in accordance with cGMP standards. You’ll be measured on your ability to review and release batch packets in a timely fashion, while still continuing to learn.
Required Qualifications:

-Experience in Manufacturing batch packet documentation review, issue resolution, and inventory control
-Experience with systems such as (but not limited to) JD Edwards, Blue Yonder, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), ETQ, SharePoint, PLM, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft applications is required.
-Experience working with cGMP standards, documentation rules, and supporting audits is required.
-Experience with Amway business lines, including Nutrition and HBH lines.
-Experience creating or modifying Certificates of Analysis.
-Experience performing quality checks, including lot code and artwork
-HACCP experience, certifications
-High School Diploma or GED

What’s special about this team:
The Incoming and Packaging QC team is responsible for the assessment and disposition of raw materials, components, and finished goods that are received at Amway’s various manufacturing and warehousing branch plants. The team is comprised of 11 full-time employees and 16 contractors who work in the lab to help support Supply Chain in their goal of the timely delivery of products to the ABO. The team consists of scientists and contractors who are involved in sampling raw materials and components and delivering them to the labs for testing. In addition, the team is responsible for releasing raw materials, components and finished products in electronic inventory systems for shipment around the world. The team is a highly independent, self-driven group of professionals that are passionate about product quality and all the aspects that go into ensuring our ABOs get the highest quality product.
