Position Summary:
The Aircraft Support
Technician
will be responsible for executing the interiors maintenance program. Duties will include identifying, repairing and replacing components primarily pertaining to the interiors of the aircraft. The position will be covering a 24 hour operation with a primary responsibility to work the overnight shift. Position will work directly with Qualified Personnel to modify and repair cabin interiors.
Essential Responsibilities:

-Perform General Visual Inspections of cabin interiors, galleys and Lavatories
style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"-
-Remove, replace, and adjust cabin seating (Flight Attendant, Mint, and Core class), including cushions, harnesses, tray tables, cabin trim and carpeting.

-Remove, replace, inspect and test cabin systems such as handsets, lavatories components, galley equipment, and lighting to ensure proper functionality.

-Completing required paperwork accurately using procedures set forth in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM)

-Complete all work in accordance with JetBlue approved manuals.

-Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"-
-High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
-Basic mechanical aptitude and tool familiarity
-Ability to work primarily overnight shift
-Ability to communication effectively; in both oral and written communication
-Ability to frequently crawl, bend, kneel, climb, stoop and work in confined spaces
-Ability to work under pressure in a team environment
-Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets JetBlue’s insurance standards
-Ability to remain alert to moving vehicles, aircraft and situational awareness
-Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
-Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
-Available for overnight travel (10%)
-Must pass a pre-employment drug test
-Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
-Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

-Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems
-Ability to drive tugs, trucks, taxi aircraft, lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift and tractor and/or other maintenance vehicles
-Airframe and/or Powerplant License
-Prior Aircraft maintenance experience

-Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
-Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
-The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

-Operate lift trucks, snorkel lift, boom lift and tractor after attending training

Compensation:

-The base pay range for this position starts at $28.00 per hour.
