Position description : The Facilities Assistant will provide support for the care and upkeep of all church facilities and all approved church events including maintenance, cleaning, set-up, and repair activities. This position reports to the Facilities Director.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support for facility repairs and maintenance. Maintenance of grounds relative to landscaping and accessibility (snow/salt). Ensure cleanliness and readiness of all rooms, restrooms, common areas, and sanctuary spaces. Provide oversight and assistance support to staff and non-staff functions at the church. Support key/security systems and assure building lock-up.
Qualifications:
Be in an authentic and growing relationship with Jesus. Able to work weekend or evening events as needed. Ability to collaborate and connect relationally with people. Demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn. Strong work ethic and self-starter. Committed to the mission and vision of Christ Community Chapel (CCC).
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout church facilities. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to bend, lift, stretch, climb, and crawl to maintain equipment and buildings. Must be able to perform work in a variety of weather conditions.
